Astronaut Scholar Annual Meeting
The ASHS and ASF coordinate an annual meeting in Florida of astronauts and astronaut scholars. All current and past Astronaut Scholars are invited and encouraged to attend. The event is an excellent opportunity for scholars to meet the astronauts and say "thank you" for the financial support and tremendous confidence boost that results from being a recipient of the Astronaut Scholarship.
Since 2002, the Annual Meeting has coincided with the annual Astronaut Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. During the meeting astronaut scholars meet and network with each other, and meet and interact with the astronauts. Some of the activities include a VIP tour of the Kennedy Space Center, a VIP tour of the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, a private luncheon with the astronauts, the Astronaut Hall of Fame Induction Gala, the Astronaut Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and the annual Scholar Technical Session. Those scholars who have participated will tell you that it is a very memorable and enjoyable weekend.
